Overview
In this episode, I got to chat with Chelsea Maude Averitt, Founder and job curator extraordinaire of SKIP. Chelsea is a connector and advocate for job seekers. Skip’s mission is for educators and administrators to skip to new careers that value their expertise, pay well, and are remote. Skip matches educators with mission-driven companies that positively impact our schools, students, and communities. SKIP also is an excellent place for companies wanting to advertise their jobs and find qualified leads. Chelsea is building a place where job seekers can find great roles, feel confident, and receive fair pay. There may be an announcement in this episode about a new resource Chelsea is building. It’s time to grab those headphones and tune in to Episode 62 now!
More About Chelsea
I'm an entrepreneur, educator, and writer. I’m the founder of Skip, a job board and coaching service dedicated to helping educators, administrators, and academics successfully transition into remote jobs at mission-driven organizations. I love helping folks find moments of clarity in the job search process.
I have taught English literature and writing skills to middle school, high school, and college students. I mostly write for my business these days but have written on education and politics for local newspapers.
I’m also an active volunteer in my community. I have served as a school board member and election warden and currently serve on my city's Personnel Board (where I regularly interview candidates for entry-level to management positions).
